Caulfield & District Netball Association have the health and wellbeing of our community at the forefront of our minds and are diligently staying up to date with the continual developments as they arise.
The directive from the government is that from today, all non-essential, organised mass gatherings of 500 people or more must be cancelled. Due to the State of Emergency being declared in Victoria this morning, this is now a compulsory and sanctionable ruling. Whilst our competitions don’t always reach this figure, our community as a whole must be taken into consideration. Our great netball community is not only our players and coaches but is also our parents, supporters, managers, umpires, volunteer committee members and our valued staff members too.
We, alongside many of our other netball association colleagues, would like to support Australia’s efforts to slow the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19).
We have therefore made the decision to cancel matches for this weekend (20th / 21st March) and until further notice.
We would like to thank all of you for your understanding and patience during this unprecedented and constantly evolving time. We can assure you all that we all look forward to returning to our great game of netball as soon as possible and will continue to keep you updated with any further developments as they come to hand.
